Fluffy's Language of Flowers: Sad
*sob* Do you ever just get…really sad sometimes?
I do.
I get sad a lot…sometimes when I’m not even supposed to be sad…
Well, there’s LOTS of ways to show your own sadness, or even tell another person you’re sorry about their sadness.
A lot of the time sad flowers are a way to tell sad things or bad news.
Like Milkweed.(“asclepias”) (sometimes called ‘butterfly weed’ because butterflies and butterflies ALONE eat them; poisonous to things with tongues).
When you see the little buds, they’re supposed to mean 'let me go'.
Hyacinth.(“hyacinthus”) flowers are these pretty bundles that come in towers…except when they’re purple, then they mean 'sorrow'.
Anemones.(“ranunculaceae”) (no not the sea ones, those are animals not plants) are a flower’s flower, I think! So uniform, so direct- they mean 'forsaken-ness'.
Lavenders.(“lavandula”) are the best smelling and feeling flowers around.
They’re pretty, but they also mean 'distrust'...so I guess they go really well with anemones...
If you’ve recently had your heart broken *hic*, you could spring for the most heartbroken flower of them all: the Bleeding Heart Flowers.(“lamprocapnos spectabilis”). They come in stems.
Hm? Oh…yeah…Lilies.(“lilum”) I guess.
They can also be sad.
I don’t feel like it today, guys…
