Fluffy's Language of Flowers: Magik
My best friend Mouse tells me anything can be magic, and she is right…
...but according to all farmer’s almanacs and other things I’ve read there’s also no shortage of flowers which literally represent magic!
No really! These are special “magic” flowers and plants at least in meaning~
First up, you NEED to have Ferns.(“polypodiales”)!
They're ancient plants and, though they don’t have flowers, they do have coiling-coily branches that are spirals before they fully branch out.
Then you need the teeny tiny flowers of the Dill plant.(“anethum graveolens”).
Dill’s are magic I think because they’re tiny flowers that power a mighty food- they’re where we get pickles from!
There’s Bluebells.(“hyacinthoides”), which are appropriately named for the record.
They look just like little bells on a stem when they bloom.
There’s Asters.(“aster amellus”), which are sacred flowers that mean 'protection from evil spirits'!
You just GOTTA have those around!
If you have room -believe me, you WANT to have room!- you gotta have Moon Flowers.(“ipomoea alba”)/ tropical morning glory.
They mean untapped magical energy. They even grow and GLOW at night! Isn’t that cool?!
But, the most magical of all magical flowers?
The one you ought to always have with you (unless you’re allergic; I’m sorry...)?
Dandelions.(“taraxacum officinale”)! Yes, dandelions!
Magic isn’t always about what’s the rarest and the strangest…sometimes it’s about what you take for granted.
A dandelion fits it’s name in full bloom or not. They can be weeds…but only in places where they don’t belong.
And everyone belongs somewhere.
Everyone’s a weed to someone else, I mean, when you really think of it…
