A fitting pick for lovely old Mother’s day coming up: a mother Wolf Spider with her clutch of babies on her back. These guys are either the most terrifying thing in the world or the most adorable, depending on how you feel about spiders. 

 

And no- this isn’t the spider species where the babies eat their mamas; Wolf Spiders are just the possums of the arachnid world.
