RESURRECTED Familiar THURSDAY with Grip the Raven

 

 

As it’s officially Halfaween season, Familiar Fridays is getting a special treat till May 2nd 2025- FAMOUS Familiar Fridays! Featuring freaky little familiar faces from the world of fame fortune and foresight- and yes we’ll also be uploading on thursdays for this month AS WELL. Our first contender; Grip the raven. 

 

The pet of author Charles Dickens and, if legend is to be believed, the unintentional motivation for Edgar Allan Poe’s ‘The Raven’ -Poe did a review of Dickens’ novel Barnaby Rudge which features Grip’s likeness, and thought that a proper raven character ought to be more ominous. Grip gave us the great’s of literature.
