Familiar THURSDAYS with Romeo the black wolf

 

 

In the arms of the angels, Romeo the black wolf. An apparently completely wild wolf who started making friends with the local dogs and so also the dogs owners in Alaska. Never one for full on pets and belly rubs but did learn to fetch when people brought him toys. Sadly this got him too accustomed to humans and that lead to a poacher luring him close and killing him in 2009. Nothing short of a good boy.
