"Fish in a Birdcage" step-by-step

 

 The "Fish in a Birdcage" comic is very personal to me. It's based on the song and the band named after the song of the same name- a song about feeling stagnant, trapped, but only truly being understood by one specific person. Mouse and Fluffy are the oldest characters in Oddities' lineup and so are very close to me. In universe, they are each other's closest confidant and friend.

The progress for making the full color pic that became it's end note was especially fun. The original all-marker drawing was already impressive to me but the digital paint coat looks really nice, at least in my mind.
