Familiar Fridays - Heather Crab Spider

 

What’s summer without a stroll through the garden…and what’s a garden without spiders? Specifically the adorable (to us, to bugs they’re LETHAL) Heather Crab Spiders. 

 

Like Orchid Mantises, they hide inside flowers to ambush pollinating insects, often taking up the flower’s color to match. Just LOOK at those stockings! They’re a pastel goth’s dream!
