Twilight
Oddities in October decided to tag into Monterey Bay Aquarium's (the aquarium of my childhood!) 'Deep Sea December' art challenge (Day 14 - "Twilight").
Monty Cristo and Fluffy may not BE sea creatures, let alone ones that live in the Twilight/Mesopelagic zone. But, oddly enough, they both have dreams about them.
Playlist inspo: "I'm Going to go back there Someday", "Vanilla Twilight", "Golden Slumbers", "Silent Night" and any decent reading of Rime of the Ancient Mariner.
I tried my hardest to mostly use animals found in the actual Mesopelagic zone. The ones I included above Monty and Fluffy are the Vampire Squid, Daggertooth fish, Bristlemouth, Spotlight Loosejaw, Opah, Lantern Fish, Krill, Barreleye fish, Telescope fish, Cuttlefish and Sea Angels;
